Smiling woman with long brown hair, wearing a sleeveless maroon top and long earrings, indoors in a well-lit room.

I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and have over 15 years of fitness experience.

I was once told that when I learned to walk, my Dad bought me a set of skis and a soccer ball. I feel like I’ve been in motion ever since. Exercise is as much a necessity to me as food, water, and air. When I exercise I am the best version of myself physically, but equally importantly, mentally and emotionally. Similarly, I am passionate about nutrition. When we eat wisely, we have better energy, tend to sleep better, and see substantially improved results from our work in the gym. I aim to share my expertise and enthusiasm to help others be the best versions of themselves as well.

My job is to help you succeed, and in working together you will find that you can achieve remarkable things! I believe in approaching health, nutrition, and fitness in a highly personalized way that will lead to lasting changes for each individual. My experience is that the process and progress of each individual varies and that there is no one-size-fits all approach that is successful for everyone. I believe in taking an integrated approach to personal training, taking into account a client’s whole health when building a program. This means accounting for things such as their feelings towards and previous experiences with exercise, understanding their relationship with food, and taking into account their sleep quality and habits. Behavioral change can be difficult, but by taking this approach, I provide approachable solutions that are respectful of each client’s time and bandwidth.

I have worked with a wide variety of clients - everyone from women who feel very uncomfortable in a gym setting and are brand new to exercise to life-long athletes who feel at home in a gym. I will meet you where you are and help you to achieve your goals in an environment that is safe and feels safe.

I love working with girls and women. As women, our bodies are beautiful and unique. Day-to-day, week-to-week, month-to-month, and season-to-season, our needs and capabilities change. What stage of life we are in (pre-menstrual, pre-menopause, peri-menopause, menopause, pregnancy, postpartum, etc.) can determine a lot about how we feel. I believe that we need to account for this in each client’s programming and planning and that with proper planning, client’s can find success even on those difficult days or in the more challenging chapters. Depending on the chapter we are in it can be difficult to build or maintain muscle, but with proper nutrition and fitness planning, we can always make progress.

The key is to not stop moving, even if you have to change your strategy and activities based on your current conditions and stage of life. And, if you haven’t yet started exercising in a structured way, the good news is that it is never too late to start. Some of my most fruitful client relationships have been with women in their 70s and 80s who begin exercising for the first time much later in life and realize they are capable of more than they ever realized.

In addition to my work as a Personal Trainer, I am an engineer, a mother of two beautiful daughters, a gardener, and a novice carpenter. I do this work not because I have to, but because I love it and I hope to make an impact in other’s lives. Please join me in the Breaktime Bootcamp Program to reach your fitness goals, become a member of a broader community, and feel like the best version of you!
